Computational and Applied Electromagnetics

Welcome to the group for applied electromagnetism and electromagnetic simulations
Brief overview
The group for applied electromagnetism and electromagnetic simulations offers first-class support in the field of electromagnetic field simulations, simulation-based product development, modern design optimization and electromagnetic field measurements.
Our research and development experience covers the following areas:
- Electromagnetic field simulations in the low and high frequency range
- Simulation-based development of power and drive transformers
- Electromagnetic analysis and optimization of electrical machines
- Dynamic modeling, simulation and measurement of transformers and electrical machines under lightning surge in a wide frequency range
- Dynamic modeling, simulation, and measurement of fast and ultra-fast electromagnetic transients in transformers and MV/HV switchgear
- Simulation-based development of power electronics circuits
- Design of electric drive systems
- Verification measurements of machine simulation models at the in-house 30kW electric motor test bench
- Verification measurements of simulations in the in-house High Voltage Laborarory
