Acoustic Simulations

Consideration and evaluation of sound emission from new products plays a crucial role in an early stage of product development. Whether wind turbines, household devices, HVAC systems or larger components like axial gas compressors for the energy industry (see film).

Acoustic problem cases involving flow induced noise, require a high degree of resolution for   turbulences. Thanks to our in-house cluster and the possibility of cloud computing we are able to simulate such cases efficiently. Vibro-acoustic effects as well as flow induced vibrations and further acoustic excitation can be modeled with simulation programs like COMSOL, Star-CCM+ or ANSYS Fluent. 

We can support you in the characterization and optimization of your products regarding their acoustical properties.
