Institut für Energietechnik (IET)

Wind energy is the fastest growing renewable energy source in the world and has correspondingly reached a high level of significance in the energy branch. We are the first University of Applied Sciences in Switzerland with a research programme specifically for wind energy -  and we are engaged in exciting and demanding topics relevant to a digital, renewable future.

EU Green Deal call 2020

We are looking to contribute to consortia for the topic "Innovative land-based and offshore renewable energy technologies and their integration into the energy system" of the EU Green Deal Call 2020 on the following topics:

1. Autonomous pressure and acoustic measurement system for wind turbine blades.

2. Offshore renewable energy collaboration and data platform.

3. Development and test of bio-materials for wind turbine blades.

Please download our one-pagers for each of these contributions below!

The Swiss Wind Energy R&D Network

We have founded The Swiss Wind Energy R&D Network. This network provides a platform to initiate and coordinate new collaborative wind energy projects in the areas of R&D, learning and teaching, ultimately aiming to foster excellence in Swiss wind energy R&D and to promote the export of Swiss know-how in products and services to the international wind energy market.
